Shutdown windows 2008 server without installing updates
Come for the solution, stay for everything else. Welcome to our community! I have a question regarding shuting down Win Server R2 with Exchange installed in it without installing Windows update. It has the Exchange roll up update in it and do not want to do this. I will be out of town for shutting down power and a junior admin will be doing it. Even though I have download but let me choose when to install, When I go to the start menu it still says hutdown and apply updates.

These installations can be done in the proper Windows Update Maintenance Window. The start menu it self is not going to provide the solution.
