I have had a quick look at an application called Script Editor, which I have never even opened or used before, and it states that is is possible to "place scripts in menus, or toolbars, or attach them to folder actions". I don't know if this applies to Applescripts only, nor if your script is an Applescript or not, nor how I would even begin to start automating this task, nor even if this would do what I am hoping. Do you have any further advice? There would be various ways of running an Applescript on iCal closing.
